Typical Vale

Just as tempers are running high, the boys in black and white go and pull it out of the bag with a 2-0 win.

Going off radio commentary, we never looked like scoring until late in the second half until a howler from Macc keeper Jonny Brain allowed Adnam Ahmed in.

Vale fans should know all about Brain, we had him for two years and I'll never forget his Superman impression at Blackpool where he got lobbed from the half way line.

Glover would be best sticking with the same side on Saturday if he is to keep talks of protests away from the door. His cheeky no comment in his post-match interview said it all last night.

I'd like to congratualte Joe Anyon for getting in with the fans once again when Louis Dodds scored Vale's second, anybody who says Joe doesn't care is quite frankly off their rocker.

Gareth Owen missed the game with a cyst on the spine and I'm so glad I wasn't having my tea when he described it, it was rather unsavoury, no wonder it didn't make it on air until after the watershed.

However, one swallow doesn't make a summer.

Glad all over
