Vale's pre season programme started in earnest over the weekend. Micky Adams took his squad to his local side Market Harborough and ended up on the winning side with a 3-0 win. While a side made up of youth team players won 2-1 at Rocester.
Sunday saw the customary friendly at Biddulph Vics. It looked like Vale might have ended up on the losing side after Biddulph took the lead, but it was Vale who eventually took control and ended up 3-1 winners.
