Adams linked to Sheffield United Job

Port Vale boss Micky Adams has been linked to the vacant manager's position at Sheffield United. The bookies currently have him down as one of the favourites to take over the position.
Adams, who is a Sheffield admitted when he first took over the reigns at Vale 18 months ago that if the job came up at his hometown club and the one he supported as a child he would express an interest.
The decision will pile pressure on the Vale board who have disgruntled fans in recent weeks by turning down various investment offers and it all came to a head at the club's AGM on Monday evening when 100 supporters gathered outside to protest against the board's latest decision to reject local businessman Mo Chaudry's offer.
